The concept of modular code via multiple gameplay modules is something that has been neglected for years at this point and it needs to be addressed. There are valid questions on answer hub and dead threads on the forums regarding these that have remained untouched since 2014! The documentation barely scratches the surface, the BlankModule offers little more than a basic skeleton of what could become a module and examining the engine code’s design methodology of modules is quite tough in comparison considering there are so many varying ways they get implemented and many seem quite different in implementation than gameplay modules.
At this point I can’t tell if the editor simply hates modules and refuses to work with them, if I’m just missing something or if I’m so frustrated with these **** things and the lack of proper documentation that I’m losing my mind.
A little help guys?
Please for the sake of my sanity, update the gameplay modules documentation and shed serious light on it.
