Gameplay Camera focus on enemy actor

Hi! We are making a superhero game. We are using a gameplay camera 5.6 system→. We are using thirdperson gameplay and we have a soft lock system in place already.

Im new to gameplay camera system, how can the gameplay camera focus on enemy actor that is closest to the player? So when the softlock system notices enemy player nearby the camera looks at the enemy target. Also how can you break the sight if the player wants to rotate the mouse to other side to look away. Small magnetic feel is what we are looking for.

As I can understand, what you need is a very aggressive Aim Assist which almost snaps the camera to a target but let you move your mouse to release the assist and move it to a new target, right?

If that’s the case, I highly recomend you to watch this video:

I know it show is for a first person camera but it should work in the same way for third person!
