[GAME]Titan Station - Retro sci fi narrative adventure

Hello everyone!

Long time reader/lurker first time poster.

I want to show you my game “Titan Station”:

Titan Station is a single-player first-person mystery adventure set in a retro-sci fi universe.
"Far into the future, in the year 1999: David, a systems operator, runs from his troubles by taking a job on a space station. After arriving, his mundane work turns into a struggle for his very life as he makes a shocking discovery. "

In short its a narrative adventure/walking sim/walkie-talkie sim.

Over the last 2.5 years I have been working on it on my own.

Short about me: After working in the Swedish Game industry for ten years at DICE, Paradox interactive and Starbreeze/Overkill as a 3D artist I decided to make my own game using Unreal and Blueprints.

It´s been a crazy amount of work - especially with getting it to a good polished stage but I’m finally at the finishline for the PC/Windows release 11/11.

Unreal has been fantastic to work with and I have had good use of the Unreal marketplace for buying music and sounds.
For the Titan surface section of the game I am using Megascans.
The Unreal forums have also been extremely useful, I dont think I have posted once since all my questions have already been just a search away

Hope it peaks your interest!
It can be wishlisted at Steam: Titan Station on Steam
I hope to get it up on other stores aswell and after the PC release I will begin working on the Xbox&PS versions.

Hello friends. Im a musician and compositor. Do you need music for your games ?
Take care

Hey there @konraden,

Welcome to the Unreal Engine community. We’re beyond thrilled to have you here - especially given your work of art here

First, I just have to say how amazing the trailer is. There’s storytelling, immersion, and emotion - and it all does such a great job of showing what Titan Station is!

I expected a massive team for a game with such a high-quality feel - seeing this has been a solo project just blows my mind a bit. Truly incredible work!

Thanks so much for sharing and will definitely be keeping my eye on this one

Hey! Thank you!

I would say it’s very much thanks to Unreal that I managed to make this game and make it as big - The initial scope was a lot smaller
Having a stable build and using blueprints I have been able to focus on only making the game.

For the next project I really hope to do even more at the same amount of time now that I know Unreal, Blueprint and that Lumen is available.

Lumen especially is gonna save time, lightmass sure looks great but it’s also a lot of work - even with the amazing GPU lightmass that speeds up the process enormously.

All the best // Joakim

I’ll be sure to check out your future projects
Sending you lots of support and best wishes for your current development!

Looks really nice. Added to my wishlist!

It will be even better if you can add some wear/tear “dust, corrosion, …” effects on the materials to make it look more realistic but overall looks cool)

Hey, thanks!

Got some polisihing stuff like that coming in but nothing major, its to late

Congrats, the trailer is looking amazing!

Greetings @konraden !

I really, really dig the retro-futuristic style! It gives me an Alien vibe (the first of the Alien movie series). You certainly have very reputable game industry experience, so it’s only natural that you would give our own game a shot!

After 2.5 years of hard work and dedication, we are so happy that you’ve decided to share Titan Station with the world! What is your profession? What are your areas of expertise, seeming as how the game industry is so vast?

For Titan Station, did you write a script first, create any storyboards, or did you create the narrative as you progressed in the development the game?
