So, I’ve never heard of this game before until a friend of mine told me about it. I’m not really into simulation games. However what peaked my interested was the developer and the work he put into completing it. According to the Wikipedia article: Stardew Valley - Wikipedia
“Barone spent four years working on the project, redoing it multiple times, and was the sole developer on the game, frequently spending 10 hours or more a day working on it. He programmed it in C# using the Microsoft XNA framework, while also creating all of the game’s pixel art and musical themes.”
So there you go; that’s 14,600 hours of development time or more. if you want to make a quality game you’ll need to put in a lot of time, and drink lots of coffee I’m sure. I just thought I’d share those numbers with the community so people (and myself) can really see what level of effort it takes to produce a game.
