Game designer looking for team to make game

I am pretty much self exclaimed game designer but I am very confident that this game will be a goldmine.

This is serious and I don’t have the money or much but I am sure 100 percent this idea is way to good to turn down.

you will get royalties and I want you to get paid eventually. I really need an artist that can draw my idea and also animate it.

If a team can be made then awesome. Do not want back stabbers or idea thiefs please.

I worked with a guy that sold vaper flavors. I made one and it was the most popular on his website and he never paid me.

I honestly am tired of backstabber’s. If any honest passionate for good ideas to happen and you get rewarded for your work and passion then please contact me and ill tell u all the details.

imagen jetsetradio/tonyhawk grinding. Guns the duel movement wall running/ cyborg tribes ascend building swords… with like a fifth element looking

please contact me if you are interested.

You just described Sunset Overdrive…

Oh hell, he did: Sunset Overdrive - Wikipedia

Almost to the letter lol.

no it would be more control and like tribes ascend and competitive. somewhat similar but very different. itll have a tribes ascend tribes feel as well.

also the grinding is easy in sunset. it would be like tony hawk or skill. a skill game.

Please if anyone wants to start something I could get this project moving… im super passionate and dedicated to work this all the way. Just need people that can trust me and listen to my thoughts on the end game.

sigh…

well, what can you offer yourself?
What are your tools of the trade?

im going to be doing whatever I can. I’ll learn 3d modeling. learn to make maps. etc. learning things from people who wanna help. map design. balance. everything. Im no natural artist but i’ll still try to do my best in it. I would just need a little help from people who wanna help and im on board.

First I really just wanna get a small area with a 1 character model and get a small multiplayer arena map that looks like fifth element city. then get the movement controls griding wall riding all that into play. add the one weapon ill design but would love help making etc. throwing ideas around then making prototypes is what i really want. I need someone whos good with art so i can give the vision and they can help make it come to life.

I’d be there helping with anything I can. Right now id want a simple character model then be put onto a 3d body. then make the weapon. just one gun for now. drawing the swords etc… then after that start making the map.

This game again will be a game likes Gunz the duel 2. the movement and attacking similar. Tribes ascend speed. Prototype/spiderman like building scaling. so the games movement needs to be fun. also the game overgrowth is amazing too. like the ability to jump reallyhigh and spin around. and if u mess up ur spin u can break ur neck and die. I can go on and on about details of the game. Just need a team where we can all help eacother out. Im the type of person thatll do whatever and go in hard to learn something or to figure it out. I never give up.

Ill help model/texture ill help with coding even tho i dont know anything really ill still learn and if u can teach me with a few things on the way great.

Yea in that case, start working on a game like pong, tetris, galaga, or the likes.
Because… you have no clue what it takes to make games, you just have ideas.

And almost nobody wants to work with an ideas-guy who has no other skills whatsoever.
Start small, and learn a lot. because without any knowledge, starting on the game you always wanted to make will never come to fruition.

Also slurs like “jetsetradio, tonyhawk, sunset overdrive, Tribes, fifth element, gunz the duel, prototype, spiderman” do not only show how little you know about actual game design, it also shows a lack of understanding how to explain things in your own words.

I could explain forever and ever like I said. those just abbreviate it.

I gave you a glimps saying all those games. Similar things it’ll have. I want a team thats into fast paced movement/skill/physics/fun/pvp/arena/ then join me and lets build this amazing game the world needs.

Again games nowadays all suck. literally all games currently are bad and you can be the best artist, programmer, whatever in the world but if you spend all that talent n skill into a game thats ****** then thats a waste of time and talent.

witcher 3 is ****. you roll attack the entire game yet people love the game and say its one of the best games ever when honestly its garbage.

Wanna waste your time on a game thatll be ****? go ahead you arent what I want. I am willing to do anything for the game yet you just seem like a person who has skills but no direction. Im the direction.

I need a TEAM who want to make a game thats gunna be GOOD 100 percent. this isnt a guess or a maybe i know this game will be 100 percent goldmine.

If you dont like the idea or your a guy who thinks its 100 percent skill and think concept and the games direction+idea doesnt matter then you are lost my friend. Talent without direction or passion is bad and pointless.

Just in disbelief of the snarky tones I’ve seen in these threads. Isn’t there a way to convey things without being so condescending? Not very inviting, that’s for sure.

Ideas are very important. I also am skilled in games and know whats fun. I was sponsered in tribes ascend. The point is I know what makes a game fun and rewarding. I know how maps should be and work. Buttons and how controls will work. etc etc etc. Trust me with other people helping on this you will get rewarded. I know the game will be amazing in my vision.

Im not saying super details since I dont want the idea to be stolen. I could go on and on and tell you everything. I just want some people who have skill and want to make a team and think the basic idea I told you and have similar feelings to a game like that.

Go look at these games.

Tribes ascend.
Overgrowth.
Gunz
Gunz the duel 2

@PsychoStoner:

You have been given good advice.
How you choose to use this advice is up to you.

In any case, keep it civil.

I recommend reading the Recruitment Template and other threads and think about updating your OP.

Ill take a maybe anyday.

and again my ideas and way will work just cuz you think it wont doesnt mean its true.

the template says " be super specfic in the game you wanna make so others can steal the idea better"

No thanks ill do it my way.

This is good advice? Or, condescending snark? “Also slurs like “jetsetradio, tonyhawk, sunset overdrive, Tribes, fifth element, gunz the duel, prototype, spiderman” do not only show how little you know about actual game design, it also shows a lack of understanding how to explain things in your own words.”

Ok, is this just a concept or have you written a game doc about this game?

Granted, I could have been a tad (whole lot) less snarky.
It was still good advice.

Stoner should start small, all those “slurs” tell me the game is huge, borderline illusions of grandeur even.
And without any knowledge on how long it takes to make a game, let alone basically no experience besides thinking about – i his mind – an awesome game… chances are big it wont succeed until more experience is gained.
He needs to learn, he needs to practice, he needs to understand.

While yes, it can be handy to compare mechanics of a designed game with those already created, naming eight and almost to no own-chosen words however… does come over as a lack of understanding, not only how much time and effort that would go into creating such a intricate and complex combination of mechanisms, but also tells me a potential lack of knowledge in making a selling point.
So I do consider it good advice for Stoner to find his own personal take on these mechanisms and find his own words for it.

Posts like this remind me of:

Now, am I here to tell Stoner he can never do it?
Not at all, I hope he will succeed eventually, but truth be told.
Just being an idea guy wont get you anywhere unless someone silly is able to back that idea up with millions.
Better for him to learn more first, and understand actual game design before he can be certain his idea will work.

No offense but this entire post here just makes me cringe as if I’m reading a Call of Duty fan boy brag about how elite it is over all First Person Shooter games. My advice is to start with how to write formally and properly, second is to be realistic about the challenges and the impossibility of everything going your way. It’s just not going to happen. Everyone has an opinion about a game but it doesn’t mean the world revolves around your opinions being a fact for everyone else, and I highly doubt you will get a decent team that’s “100 percent” in line with your hate towards The Witcher 3 that so many find appealing.

Yeah i could write about the game and everything itll be great. if you are interested let me know. hit me up on steam under twitch.frizzum. I know whats fun. just trust me. im not here to argue im here to make an amazing game the world needs.

As a game designer will prompt direction …

  1. Learn a game design.
Read books on game design, go through training courses. Give preference to books and courses that will teach competently build work and design documentation.

  2. Get rid of the idea.
Get to experience your ideas fully developed design documentation on them. This frees the head and add at least full of experience in the design documentation.

  3. Work on any project where there is an opportunity to work.
Theoreticity experience and practical experience are two different things. So take part in a couple of projects, even if you will be a gofer, really help you understand how everything works. If you really have the potential, people will understand with you some time. Also, check the fit are you in this work.

  4. Make connections.
The bottom line is that the industry is very much acquainted with people who decide. So what a lot of people you will be in contact and help, the greater the chance that when you need assistance conditional you can find it.

P.S. Sorry for the bad english. Translated by the translator. Good luck …

guys I got the game in my head. its fun, solid and will be a goldmine.

Without direction and an idea good games never come to be. All you guys sound like negative closed minded people. Which Is ruining the gaming industry.

witcher 3 is literally roll attack the game. thats all you do in it.

again. This WILL work just need a small team.

All wed do is make one character model(easy) start making a map thats not hi rez just simple **** (not too hard) then start making the movement good (hard).

The bottom line is that no one will work with those who do not treat them with respect. Do you want someone to join you then show the seriousness of your intentions.
You have your finger on the finger does not hit, and say how easy it is … Creating games is complex and tedious job.

Why did I tell you about the documentation … Nobody wants that he went to the ears and blogged about the brilliance of the game that you want to was created.
They want to see extract that kind of game. And then come into force commercial. At the beginning to create a concept and commercial and then you publish commercial. To make people understand that for the project and whether it makes sense to participate in it …

In general, read “Level Up! Guide to Great Video Game Desing!” And then return.
