Game crashing possible d3d error

Fortnite game started crashing 5 days ago on launch. There were no changes to hardware or game software prior to start of the crashing. I have updated the video driver with no success. I have reloaded and reinstalled both the Epic Games Launcher and Fortnite game multiple times. Only once did it work after a full wipe, reload, and reinstall into a completely new folder. The next day, the crashing started again. Since this is for my son, on an older computer, I do not want to be doing this daily and need a fix rather than trying to find work arounds. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Hey all,
I faced this same issue.
Most of the games listed here are having same issue at my end.
Why is it so?

yamansingh, from what I’ve heard back (with the exception of Jeff A above), Epic Games does not care that this is an issue since it does not involve a payment to them through their system. Doesn’t matter that I have made a couple of transactions for my son, or that I would possibly make more in the future. It does not directly prevent them from collecting money right now, so they basically told me that they won’t help resolve the issue.
