im studying unreal in a 3 year game dev degree. i can learn alone and my skillset now is: git, perforce, blueprints, editor scripting, c++, performance (insights) and math.
can i get tips for getting a job in the games industry? always enrolling in volunteer projects
If it is “unknown developer” and has 1000+ employed, avoid like plague.
Those are programmers sweat shops ie. “Contractor farms”.
You do not want work for such place, pick some small inide dev where you can talk to more experienced devs.
Or make your own game try to sell it on steam or mobile platforms, you get experience and if you are lucky some $$$
