[Full Time] Crowbar Collective Gameplay Programmer

Hey all,

Crowbar Collective is the group behind Black Mesa, and we are looking to add at least 1 full time gameplay programmer. Our next project is a new IP in the Unreal Engine. The role would start with a couple of specific contracts, then assuming all goes well, it would change over to full time.

Crowbar Collective is looking for a full time gameplay programmer. Applicants should have experience in development with C++, creating 3D interactive games, gameplay systems, and artificial intelligence. We are not just looking for someone to complete a to-do list, but also understand the core design of our game, as well as be an integral part of the team. Candidates will be expected to collaborate with the art and design departments to improve gameplay, game features, and final game quality. They’ll also be expected to complete multiple iterations of systems to suit both code and design requirements.

Requirements
Able to engineer high quality 3D games using C++ and Unreal Engine
Implement game functionality as per game design document
Design, create, implement, debug, and refine gameplay features and game mechanics
Able to make system that are editable by designers without support from an engineer (scripts, Blueprints, etc.)
Proactively problem solving performance and stability issues
Experience in multiplayer games and network code
Use of Discord for communication
Must be in a country with a US tax treaty

Additional
Remote work with an international team
Position would start as individual contracts, then turn into full time
Ability to be online during Eastern Standard Time (EST) regular business hours (9AM to 5PM) preferred
