Hi,
I’ve sent my entire project to github and my friend has downloaded it on his local pc. When he opens it on his the project is blank and we are both unsure what is causing the issue. I’m using UE 5.1 so I’m not sure if it’s a bug or he needs to tick a box on his side. I also uploaded the project to google drive for him to download and still no luck. Anyone got any idea what might be causing this?
If it’s actually entirely blank as you said, you’re probably just mistaken about where you project is and are transferring an empty one. You can show in folder to see if this is the case
If only the level is entirely blank, you probably just don’t have any level loaded. Often the editor will launch to a blank level when fresh. You can either just find and open the level, or change the editor startup map under Project Settings → Maps & Modes → Default Maps
If neither of these are the case, you’ll need to share more info. Ie images of the folder you’re sending- like this and your content folder
