[Paid] 3D Character Animator

We are looking for an 3D Animator to animate characters (fantasy pets) for our upcoming demo Heads n Tails: Pet Shop

We have 3 pets (Dragon, Snow Yeti and Woodland creature) that will be rigged and ready to be animated inside of Maya as well as one goblin non-playable character.

Roughly 20 animations required per pet and 10 animations for the Goblin

A fantasy isometric pet shop game for PC and mobile platforms. Care for a range of unique pets, serve customers and earn reputation, over 3 contrasting environment levels using a drag and drop system, before converting your points into positions on the leader boards.

  • Maintaining pets and serving customers

Minimum Skills:

You should be able to create animations using Maya
Have previous experience creating animations for Unreal (or understand the pipeline)
You Have created animation for animals or fantasy characters

Hey Harlan, great to see Heads n Tails progressing, we love love loved your talk on inclusivity at GDC and would be thrilled to be able to collaborate with you on this. I’ll send you an email now with some rough estimates but a list of the animations per character here could help others give you more accurate estimates moving forward. Either way, looking forward to chatting soon

Just an update, we will require 48 unique animations for the pets, the yeti and woodland creature will have the same skeleton and will share animations. (anything in underlined is unique to that pet and will require a unique animation)

The Pets do not require facial animations as this will be combined with 2D animations only the goblin will have facial animations.

I have attached an image of the dragon so you get an idea of the model you will be working with.
