Free Houdini 21.0.753 + Unreal Engine 5.8 Building Generator for Beginners and Advanced Users

I’m giving away the building generator I made for my own game. Draw a spline, get a building you can walk inside - floors, ceilings, columns, stairs, an elevator shaft with a working car, and a roof.

The video is the full walkthrough, a bit over four hours and fully chaptered, from installing the software to a baked Blueprint you can walk around in. Nothing is skipped and my own mistakes are left in.

It runs on Houdini 21.0.753 or newer (Indie or Commercial - Apprentice cannot drive the Unreal plugin) with Unreal Engine 5.8 and Houdini Engine. It builds from your own modular blocks, and ten plain cubes ship with it so it works before you model anything. Everything returns to Unreal as Instanced Static Meshes with convex collision per block and bakes into a single Blueprint.

Free, commercial use included, and everything you build with it is yours to ship and sell. The only rule: don’t re-upload or resell the tool itself - share the link, not the file. Full terms are in LICENSE.txt in the download.

One thing I’d rather say myself than be asked: I’m an artist, not a programmer. The entire code of this generator was written by Claude Code, the AI assistant from Anthropic. I decided what the tool had to do and tested every step in Houdini and Unreal, including walking every floor of a 13-storey test building to check the collision.
