Free Fab Content License for Students and Educators

Hi,

I am a college instructor, and I am extremely disappointed that Quixel Bridge was discontinued. I understand that Fab.com has some free assets, but they aren’t as accessible or as good as I would like for students and teachers who are teaching and learning Unreal Engine.

To improve Fab.com, a free student and teacher license should be an option for all digital assets available on the platform.

Thanks for your feedback, @Yashshan_56 . We’ll discuss internally how we can improve the Megascans experience for educators and students.

In the meantime, I’d love to hear how you’ve traditionally used Megascans and Bridge and what sorts of access and capabilities you need as a teacher – and what your students need, as well.

In my college classes, we are building indoor and outdoor environements for VR, AR, and mixed reality.

The students are mainly creating projects to learn the software, and to showcase their Unreal Engine skills on their portfolios.

We have been using both Quixel and Fab.com, but the resources are limited; which limits their creativity in the software.

It would be great if there was a licensing option, where students and teachers could download and use all of the assets with proof of enrollement in a college or university (like a student card).

Thanks, Shannon! I’ll share that with the team and we’ll keep it in mind as we explore what’s possible.
