I’m so happy with how it turned out; I can’t wait to show you all! Just let me charge my phone and I’ll post a few snaps; It definitely makes writing these free books worth it :>
Woo! Thanks to you, the site stays alive for an extra month
That goes to everyone who donated too! Thanks to you, you’re helping others by keeping the educational portal open for others to learn!
Seriously, thanks everyone whose donated, bought one of the books or just checked out the site. It’s super-awesome to see everyone enjoying the content and helping others (And future people!) be able to still enjoy the content!
I’m sorry if I missed , but the link from your book: http://content…co.uk redirects me to your site instead and I can’t find the tutorial content anywhere. It would be really nice to have when working through , especially for the HUD section.
Studios again, Today asking you: Why the heck aren’t you checking .co.uk?! I fill it full of my FREE books as well as any FREE projects I get a spare minute to make for you all; Because… Educationz!
Anyhow, today I’m to annoy you / Let you know about the latest mini-project on : Character Selection Screen!
If you’re making a fighting game and / or an RPG and / or a game where you need a character selection screen… LISTEN UP!
The project is uploaded and ready for you to download and pull apart! It’s all been commented to help you learn and you’re free to use it in whatever way you wish…
We also cover level streaming, making an animated loading screen, sharing variables between levels and COOL STUFF LIKE THAT.
Thanks the new link works. I hope you get an Unreal grant. I recently started working with UE4 and I find it rather hard to start out with. I have over 10 years of programming experience but that is mainly in C# and not in C++… The basic documentation that comes with the engine is really not enough to get seriously started. Your books so far are the best resource I found, AND free.
