Do you have a patreon I can donate to?
If so can I do a one time donation?

Saw on your site yesterday and read through about 1/3rd of it while bored at work. Looked quite useful! Any of a direct .PDF download? (Currently moving house, so no internet set up and using my 4G Tether is draining :p)
Sure! 's the .PDF link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzKneB_P61RKSWdEWDlRb2MwWmM/view?usp=sharing - Have fun moving house!
Excellent, thank you sir! I tried to save through Google Docs last night but alas, no luck, so very much appreciated!
Not a problem; Hope the book helps!
Amazing Contribution. Thanks
Thanks very much! Hope I helped your future projects in some form
I scroll through the book and it looked like something I could use some time I also wouldn’t mind a free sub (lol).
I downloaded the PDF file but when I tried to open it in the PDF Reader that came with Windows 10, nothing appears in the window. Do I need Adobe Reader?
Brilliant!
Got it through the pdf link above. Do you have pdf files for the other books too so I can download them, pls?
Amazing book!
Today I Copy/Paste camera code in level blueprint whole night :).
And I have a question:
why we don’t connect camera and trigger in one blueprint?
Yes, in case need some changes in cameras positions (one camera in corner as example), but blueprint structure will be beautiful \o/, just check intersect and dispatch event “Something in trigger” in BP_Camera, and catch event in Level Blueprint.
Also some functionality perfectly transforms into function. It is also able to make the Level Bluepring more beautiful.
Function will be like :
And your overlap start/end events will be like :
The funniest thing happened to me morning … is related to the book … so bare with me.
Sitting at my desk morning sipping some coffee and going through emails.
Message pops up on my Skype from one of my contractors that I occasionally use … he is a Unity man but I won’t hold it against him.
“Hey dude. We want to do a Point-and-Click Adventure Game.” – Contractor
“Hey. Okay … so whats the problem.” – Me
“Ummm, we are struggling with Unity, any ideas?” – Contractor
“Sure, check link out - [LINK TO YOUR BOOK ON AMAZON].” – Me
“Oh wow. Thanks” – Contractor
I wait about 10 minutes for the penny to drop.
“Ummmm, dude, is for UE4.” – Contractor
“Yeah. See, our community already has a book about Point-And-Click Adventures. :D” – Me
Needless to say … the conversation went on for a little while … but I think I may have a convert. In his defense he did jump ship from Torque 3D to Unity before UE4 became … EPIC … so yeah. 8-}
Anyway, just wanted to share … thanks again for the book … I have stolen my Fiance’s Kindle now. She never uses it anymore after going to iPad. If I could get a paperback version in to South Africa for a reasonable price - I would have. 8-}
Unbelievable opportunity
I have been dabbling in Unity for a while but was unimpressed with the graphics quality for my project. Thinking about switching to Unreal I came accross you books and the offer you presented .
Giving away the books for free is one thing, but a month’s sub. to UE4? That’s fantastic!
We can not thank you enough.
Best regards,
Sinan Vural
VFX Supervisor
Cheers for . At that price, it was a no brainer paying for the ebook.
FYI - I’m just following along in the book, and I’m on the level building section. You mention the “oddness” of copying the floor mesh and pasting it, making the door shapes no longer cut in to them. It isn’t actually that odd! In the old BSP only days, was a common technique - basically it’s the order that the BSPs are in. See for more: .unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Engine/Actors/Brushes/index.html#brushorder
Anyway, cheers for the hard work in putting out these great training resources!
Haha, nice story! Thanks :> and Cheers for the lovely words!
Thank-you very much!
I’m giving out the UE4 codes now to the winners, so check your inbox / PM-box and hopefully you’re a winner!
