We are currently looking for a talented Game Environment Artist to join our in house visualisation department. This team specialises in film, animation, motion design, real-time and digital content creation.

As Environment artist you will be responsible for all aspects of the real-time workflow. You will be working on initial concept, creation of assets, modelling, texturing, lighting, collision creation and all in game interaction. Candidates must continuously strive to create games that have a strong sense of presence by bringing both a creative flare and technical knowledge. You will be mindful of memory, restrictions and design requirements.

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for creating high quality environments
  • Importing architectural models and be repsonsible for the cleaning of these models.
  • Ensure polygon counts and texture sizes are fully optimised for the target platforms
  • You will be responsible for creating and exporting the game and rendered sequence
  • Participate in R&D of new techniques to implement into production pupeline.
  • Ensuring that the enfironment style is constent with the defined visual style for the game.
  • Proactively seeking feedback and collaborating with the production coordiantor.

You will ideally have 2+ years experience in 2D and 3D production and a proven track record working within the gaming (or similar) industry.
A strong working knowledge of cry engine and/or Unreal is essential.
You will also need to have a good technical background, with the ability to grasp new programs and systems quickly. Working knowledge of unity and any programming skills would be a bonus.
