Forum rewards and badges

Hey,

first of all - Thanks! I love the engine and even more I love your energy you’re consistently putting into this project.

I would like to see an reward and badge system in this forum, like the system of stackoverflow. Such a system would reward people for putting time into the community and animate others to share their knowledge.

Please keep up your epic work! :wink:

Yea, this is a step in the right direction. But I would like it like this:

There you have a score and some simple medals. You can raise your score by answering a question and your answer gets marked as a possible solution. Medals are like small goals you reach, like “Create 5 answers”. Sometimes you see guys with really high scores and want to reach that. That would animate people like me to spend much more time in this forum.

Yea - that would be fine to display it also here. I think that would animate people to answer more questions there.

Maybe I am wrong, thats just my opinion.

Hi everyone,

Thank you for your suggestions. We do have the new badge system as mentioned by Allar with more coming through. Additionally, we have a badge system already in placed on the answerhub to go with the karma score listed under your profile. If you left click your name at the top of the page then click the first listing in the context menu, at the bottom of the subsequent page will be a listing of all of your badges, like so:

There is not at present but I will bring up the idea to be taken into consideration!

The integration of the two sites is a goal of ours for the future. As you mention, until then, we probably won’t exert too much effort in building up different systems.
