Have Epic considered using Xenforo instead of vBulletin? The architecture is basically the same, though a number of improvements (such as linking Facebook, Twitter and Steam accounts and free SEO) have been added since the developers were, originally, employees of the company, which decided to make a better forum system. There are also some great themes available for it.
My gaming clan changed to Xenforo last year and have been happy with the changes.
C++ would be nice
