1. A New Driving Mode
A new dedicated driving mode that could take over from Rocket Racing with a much more complete approach. This mode would be separate from Battle Royale, allowing more advanced physics, mechanics, and features without affecting BR balance. Content could be added progressively over the seasons.
2. Character Customization
Create a body type system allowing players to choose a male or female body shape, then build their character using elements from skins they already own in their locker: skin tone, head/face, hairstyle, top, arms, bottoms, accessories, and Kicks. Elements would automatically adapt to the selected body type. The goal is to turn skins into actual customization pieces instead of requiring players to wear a complete outfit.
3. New Vehicle Categories
Rework the current categories so that every model does not have to fit into overly broad categories. Examples: sports car, F1/single-seater, go-kart, sedan/GT, SUV, pickup truck, sport bike, and quad. Each category would have its own physics and identity.
This would also allow new vehicles to be introduced: a true quad with appropriate handling, a sport bike inspired by high-performance bikes (for example, a Hayabusa-style silhouette) with physics different from the existing motorcycles, as well as new models over time.
4. Vehicle Skins
Each new vehicle type could then receive its own skins and cosmetic models. Performance would be determined by the vehicle type rather than the skin, preventing pay-to-win.
5. More Advanced Driving
Rework vehicle handling to make driving more engaging and technical. Vehicles could have different levels of acceleration, top speed, braking, handling, grip, drifting, and suspension. Two vehicles could have similar speeds while offering completely different driving experiences.
Suspension, drifting, surface grip, and behavior during jumps could all be significantly improved.
6. Practical Options and Features
Add more vehicle interactions: headlights on/off, and the ability to lock a vehicle in certain modes, especially Creative, to prevent other players from stealing it. This would be particularly useful for RP maps, garages, and private races.
7. Multiple Disciplines in One Mode
The mode could offer several racing styles:
• Street Racing: urban races inspired by Need for Speed, with speed, drifting, and shortcuts.
• Grand Prix: F1-inspired circuits focused on racing lines, braking, and speed management.
• Kart/Chaos: arcade races with items, traps, and shortcuts.
• Off-road: races designed for SUVs, quads, and pickup trucks on rough terrain.
• Motorcycle Racing: circuits specifically designed for different types of motorcycles.
8. “Fortnite Kart” Arcade Mode
Create an arcade racing mode using items inspired by Fortnite’s universe and history rather than simply copying items from other games.
Examples: Shield to temporarily protect the car; Peely to create a banana peel that makes opponents slip; a bomb inspired by older chapters; Shockwave to propel the car forward; Chiller to temporarily make a surface slippery; boost items for acceleration; a tornado to disrupt nearby vehicles.
Temporary events could focus on different eras of Fortnite, with items from specific older chapters.
9. Multi-Discipline Tournaments
Create tournaments made up of several events. Example: Street Racing → Grand Prix → Kart/Chaos → Off-road → Grand Finale. Players earn points in each race, and the player with the highest overall score wins. This would allow different driving styles to be combined into one competition.
10. HQ and Garage with Friends
Each player could have a personal HQ/garage. They could display vehicles, modify them, test their handling, listen to music, invite friends, take photos, organize private races, and launch tournaments. The HQ would serve as a social space where players can spend time together without immediately having to start a race.
11. Custom Radio
Gradually allow players to use music they own in Fortnite Festival inside their vehicles. Players could select a playlist, enable shuffle, or create their own radio to listen to their tracks during races and around the world.
12. An Evolving Mode
Everything would not need to launch at once. Epic could start with a few vehicles, urban races, a garage/HQ, and tournaments, then gradually add F1, go-karts, sport bikes, quads, off-road, Chaos mode, Festival radio, new driving mechanics, new vehicles, and new skins.
This would create a regular source of content and give the mode a lasting identity rather than simply being a succession of races.
Overall Vision
The goal is to create a true automotive universe within Fortnite: a customizable character, a personal garage, vehicles with different physics, deep customization, a personal radio, an HQ with friends, multiple disciplines, arcade and competitive modes, plus tournaments and seasonal events. Everything could evolve independently from Battle Royale and gradually become a new pillar of Fortnite.
