Epic should consider a “Legacy Battle Pass” system for players who actually participated in a season.
I’m not asking for every old Battle Pass to be sold to everyone. I’m suggesting a system that only applies to accounts that played during that season and reached certain progression milestones.
Example:
-
If an account played during Chapter 1 Season 2, it can view that Battle Pass.
-
If the player reached Tier 30 during that season, they can unlock up to Tier 30 rewards.
-
If they reached max tier but never bought the pass, they can purchase it later and receive the rewards they already earned through gameplay.
This keeps the value of being there while giving longtime players a way to recover rewards they genuinely worked for but missed because they didn’t buy the pass at the time.
Fortnite already tracks account history and progression. A system like this would reward participation, reduce regret-driven FOMO, and honor the players who helped build the game from the beginning.
Being present should matter.
