Fortnite is resetting or changing keyboard and mouse settings without proper permission or notification, often breaking inputs both visually and functionally. The settings require adjustments such as:
- When a key is changed, the system should automatically swap the positions of all corresponding keys. for example, I use the “Confirm” command bound to the ‘F’ key (instead of the default ‘E’), and since the ‘E’ key has multiple other bindings associated with it, I have to manually readjust everything whenever the company resets or alters these keys without my permission, which breaks my game inputs.
- Clearly indicating via a visual marker, that a specific key has been edited and is no longer using the default setting. This helps the user identify which keys have been changed and which haven’t, facilitating future maintenance.
