I love playing the story quests in Fortnite. However, they can be very stressful because you are constantly aware that you can be under attack at any moment. Because of that, I usually race through the dialogue without really getting into it and then just move on to the next quest that pops up. I think this is a real shame because you cannot really follow the story properly this way.
Because of that, I thought of Ghost mode. When you enter a game of Battle Royale or Zero Build in Ghost mode, you are in the game as a “ghost.” You are still part of the 100 players in the game, but you are not able to be seen or interact with other players. The entire game world and NPCs can be interacted with just as a regular player, but you cannot be seen by players, and you cannot shoot or interact with other players. You also cannot win the game.
In Ghost mode, you are also not affected by the storm. This way, you can go about completing the story mode quests on your own terms and enjoy them.
Alternatively, it could be possible to exit Ghost mode and enter the game as a normal player when there are around 80/70/60 players left in the game so you can compete to win. After the player count drops below 80/70/60, you cannot switch over anymore.
