New in 40.20: Custom Items and Inventory is now available in beta, which means you can publish your islands with the feature enabled. You can modify or completely replace the default player inventory system and build custom items, in-game economies, crafting mechanics, and more.
This release also includes STAR WARS™ tools updates: the Hero device now supports custom health, shield, and movement speed values. Custom dialogue support has expanded to include eight new character types. Plus, schedule your island’s release in the Creator Portal for when the publishing hold lifts on May 1.
Verse fields events on UMG widgets now support adding parameters, so your UI can send values directly to Verse–build interactive elements like difficulty selectors, quantity pickers, and toggles.
You’ll also find prefabs and galleries from Clawsy Lodge and Winterfest Golden Coast, the Enhanced Harpoon Gun, and updates to Fortnite Communities.
