Hello,
I am a Fortnite creator with the creator code secretmon, and I am currently developing an independent community application under a temporary project name.
I am mainly trying to get in touch with the appropriate team at Epic regarding APIs, Epic Account Services / Epic Online Services, and possible Fortnite integrations.
The project is already functional and is designed to provide a complementary experience around Fortnite, allowing players to stay engaged with their community, collections, and content even when they are not directly in the game.
What the application already does
Users can currently:
- sign in with their Epic Games account;
- maintain their session across Web, mobile, and PWA;
- view their friends list;
- see, accept, or decline friend requests;
- view the Fortnite Item Shop directly from the application;
- use my creator code secretmon;
- save their favorite Fortnite island/map codes in a visual interface;
- view the Spirits they own;
- manage different collection states, such as owned, mastered, or available for trade;
- view a friend’s community locker in read-only mode;
- synchronize their community locker between their device and our servers.
Current Locker functionality
The application already includes a Locker-style interface with several categories, including:
- outfits / skins;
- emotes;
- cars;
- music;
- instruments;
- and other Fortnite cosmetics.
However, I want to be completely transparent: the application does not currently read the player’s real private Fortnite Locker directly from Epic Games servers.
Items marked as owned are currently based on synchronization performed within our own application.
This is exactly one of the areas where I would like to receive guidance or assistance from Epic Games.
What our community is requesting
Users would like to be able to view their real Fortnite Locker from the application without having to launch the game.
I would therefore like to know whether there is an official API, partner program, or approved access method that would allow, with the player’s consent:
- read-only access to the cosmetics actually owned on their Fortnite account;
- automatic Locker synchronization;
- identification of items they own or do not own;
- creation of a wishlist;
- allowing friends to view that wishlist;
- notifying a player when a skin or cosmetic they are looking for returns to the Item Shop.
Purchases and gifting
Another important request from our community concerns purchases.
I would like to know whether there is an Epic-approved way for a user to select an item from our application and then continue the purchase directly within the official Fortnite / Epic Games environment.
I do not want to manage V-Bucks, payments, or transactions ourselves.
The intended flow would be:
Community application → Epic Games / Fortnite → official purchase
I would also like to know whether Epic provides an official mechanism, API, deep link, or redirect system that could potentially start the gifting process for a friend.
All validation related to friendships, 2FA, eligibility, gifting limits, V-Bucks, and transactions would remain entirely under Epic Games’ control.
Web integration
I would also like to know whether it is permitted to embed certain official Epic Games or Fortnite pages inside a WebView or iframe.
If this type of integration is not recommended or allowed, does Epic instead provide:
- official deep links;
- Web endpoints;
- a partner API;
- additional OAuth permissions;
- or a program for community applications that want deeper integration with Fortnite services?
Our goal
The goal is not to replace Fortnite, the Item Shop, or Epic Games systems.
I want to build a community platform that complements Fortnite and helps players stay engaged with their Locker, friends, collections, favorite islands/maps, the Item Shop, wishlists, and new Fortnite content.
I am fully willing to comply with Epic’s requirements regarding security, OAuth, privacy, trademarks, payments, and the Support-A-Creator program.
Since the project is already functional, I can also provide a demonstration, screenshots, and additional technical details if needed.
If this forum is not the correct place for this type of request, could you please direct me to the appropriate team or contact channel at Epic Games?
Thank you very much for your time and assistance.
Kind regards,
