Fortnite Buildings Made with Megascans

I’m starting to build out a Fortnite set of “Wall, Floor, Stairs, Roof” that are made from kitbashed Megascans assets.

The first step was making simple blockout meshes in Maya of that were roughly the right dimensions. Basically 512x512x384.

In UE5 I imported some Megascans meshes and laid them out to match the different buildnig shapes. Then I did Simplify Actors and it merged them into one simple mesh and a diffuse and normal texture.

I then imported those into Maya to get them correctly oriented/pivoted and to generate a simpler collision for them, mostly the stairs.

Finally I imported the mesh and images (TGA) into UEFN and used the “Building Floor,” “Building Stairs”, and “Building Wall” objects/actors from the “Place Actors” tab.

The object snap to the FN world grid automatically. In FN Creative Live I wasn’t able to copy them with the phone and test moving them around with the pawn, but I probably have the setting wrong some where.
