Forgotten Ruins - UE5 3D Environment

Hello good! Here is the idea of my next environment, I will be publishing all the progress and all feedback is welcome. I hope you like it and let’s see how it turns out.

Some initial planning and also start the blocking. Trying to match the reference

I was working on being able to capture the essence of the environment. After this, it would be polishing and sculpting some modular pieces.

And here I leave another planning to start, apart from advancing with materials

Since there will be several linked vines, I decided to create a Spline Blueprint following the tutorial on the Unreal Engine channel. Very useful!
I’ll probably change the Mesh I’m using, since it’s a bit long and the thickness of the branch doesn’t match the beginning and end. Therefore you can see the cut where the new mesh begins

Making a mesh so that the spline works correctly, soon I will make a more detailed texture in Substance Painter, since at the moment it only has a tileable one

Also, I was using nanite with displacement to have good results in terms of materials. It is only the first pass since it will have vertex painting and much more work behind it.

I finished all the sculpting of the pieces that I will use in the environment, I am looking forward to seeing how they look in real life with materials!

And here its the last w.i.p

I was working more on external unreal things, that’s why in terms of the scene you don’t see as many changes

For the next update, I want to have all the sculpts in unreal with their respective materials and a first lighting pass
