Forest in a Bottle - Redux

A series of indoor terrarium scenes that served as my test bench for Unreal Engine 5 - from Early Access 2021 all the way to the current full release build (as of the posting of this video - 5.02).

I thought I’d compile some of my faviourite shots from these past few months, as well as go back and re-touch and re-render some of those scenes that were done in Early Access 1 & 2 - as of course, a lot of features in the EA builds of Unreal 5 were buggy or outright broken. (For instance, in the EA, Lumen didn’t properly work with foliage or any translucent material etc…)

It’s been a blast working with Unreal Engine 5 so far - it’s really done a lot to empower small teams and single artists as a creative force multiplier. I can’t wait to see where this technology takes the film and game industry!
