I have a mod i submitted from one computer but now i have a new one. Submitting the mod with all same name, etc from the new comp to the same steam login just produces a new identical mod instead of updating the old one. Any clue on where to force an ID or such on my Mod?
If you do have the “old” computer where the mod was originally created and first submitted, then grab the Mods.db file from the ShooterGame\Saved folder in the DevKit install and copy it to your new install - overwriting the existing one.
If you don’t have the “old” computer, then go to the Mods.db file in your DevKit install on your current machine - open it in a text editor (NPP (Notepad++) is great for things like this) - and grab the Mod ID from the workshop(at the end of the page URL) and overwrite the “ItemSeamID”(it’s misspelled in the .db file(Don’t correct it)) with the one you got from the workshop URL.
Do all of this with the DevKit closed at all times.
P.S: Don’t create a dupe thread thirteen minutes after you created the first one… that’s just a **** move.
