New York Institute of Technology is seeking a Visiting Assistant Professor of Game Design & Technical Art to join the Department of Digital Art and Design.
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses while helping prepare students for careers in the game industry. We are looking for an educator with professional game development experience and strong technical art skills who is passionate about mentoring the next generation of developers.

Faculty work closely with students through lectures, studio courses, capstone development, and portfolio mentoring.
NYIT offers undergraduate and graduate programs in digital art, game design, animation, UX/UI, visual communication, and related creative technologies. Faculty members are active practitioners, educators, and researchers with experience across the game and interactive media industries.
Preferred Qualifications

Professional experience in game development

Strong Unreal Engine and/or Unity experience

Technical Art experience

Experience with 3D content creation tools (Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, Houdini, Substance Painter, etc.)

Knowledge of real-time rendering pipelines

Experience teaching at the college level is preferred

Excellent communication and mentoring skills
