[FOR HIRE/PAID/CONTRACT] VFX Artist

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced VFX Artist to join our creative team.

2+ years, Europe (remote)

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality real-time visual effects using Unreal Engine’s Niagara and Cascade systems

  • Collaborate closely with the art director, designers, and UE developer to bring the visual vision of a project to life

  • Optimize VFX assets for performance while maintaining visual quality across various platforms

  • Create shaders and materials using Unreal Engine’s Material Editor to support complex VFX systems

  • Integrate VFX into game environments, ensuring seamless interaction with characters and gameplay elements

  • Iterate based on feedback from team members, balancing artistic vision and technical limitations

  • Maintain documentation for workflows, tools, and best practices

Skills:

  • Strong proficiency with Unreal Engine, especially the Niagara VFX system

  • Solid understanding of particle systems, physics-based simulations, lighting, and post-processing effects

  • Experience with shader development and material creation in Unreal Engine

  • Familiarity with game development pipelines and performance optimization

  • Knowledge of 3D software such as Maya, Blender, or Houdini is a plus

  • Artistic eye for motion, color, composition, and timing

  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
