[For Hire] Level Designer Available

Greetings,

I am a creative, passionate Level Designer trained in Unreal Engine. I am currently working 20 hours a week as a freelancer and looking to add one more project. I take pride in my work and will only accept the work if I know that I can provide top-notch level design as humanly as possible. I also like to do a few calls to understand each other and find out if we are a good fit working together as a team before taking on a project. My passion and soul belong to making level designs for RPGs & unique 3D games.

I believe great level design comes from the heart and that players deserve intelligent, thoughtfully crafted experiences. Always eager to explore new technologies and refine my skills, I strive to expand what’s possible while maintaining precision and creativity. I am a fast learner, a great team player, and also good at working alone when needed in order to meet deadlines. I’m skilled in version control (Perforce, Diversion, GitHub).

Here’s my process, which can be customized as per the scope of your project:
I do a once-a-week meeting and outline the work for that week, and it’s always a good idea to do an initial call to further discuss more if we are a good fit to work together and find a comfortable price that works for both of us. I will also give you an update at the end of the day anytime I am working on your project via Discord or whatever communication platform you prefer before committing my work using version control. I will also provide my cell phone number just in case you require my help when I am not available via email or Discord. I prefer to get the feedback within 24 hours of the work I have submitted, which helps me to quickly adjust the levels and submit the updated work as soon as possible.
Skills I provide:

  • Expertise in creating immersive and enjoyable player experiences with a deep understanding of game mechanics.
  • Skilled in crafting environments that naturally guide players, ensuring clarity of objectives and a sense of progression through strategic placement of key elements.
  • Experienced in all design phases, from initial paper design to blockout and polish, collaborating closely with environment artists. I use PLAs (Static Mesh) and Level Instances for Blueprints.
  • Communicate effectively in the blockout level design phase to programmers, 3D artists, and environment artists before moving to decorating the blockouts.
  • Strong understanding of pacing, balance, and enemy placement to maintain engaging gameplay; conducts thorough testing to ensure a polished final product.
  • Proficient in managing project structure, maintaining organized folders in the outliner, and sticking to naming conventions in the Content Browser based on project requirements.

Fun info about me: I have platinum in all the Dark Souls series (over 2000 hours), Sekiro, Elden Ring (over 3000 hours), Elden Ring Nightreign, Demon’s Souls, and countless hours in the Zelda series, Gothic, Skyrim, and more!

This is one of the projects I am currently doing level design for, an original RPG with a one-of-a-kind combat system, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have the creative freedom to design levels for this project. We will update you all when we are ready to showcase the game.

I am still looking to add one more project to work on. My passion belong to making level designs for RPGs & unique 3D games.

I am still looking to add one more project. Let’s talk and find out if we are a good fit for each other.

My journey started about a month ago with a simple goal: to create better breakables for the RPG levels I’m designing. I wasn’t satisfied with the breakables in the project, so I dove deep into learning everything I could about Fracture Mode in Unreal Engine 5.4 and 5.7. I spent countless hours studying official documentation/watching every tutorial and breakdown I could find, driven by the same curiosity and joy I’ve always felt when discovering what can be broken in the RPGs that have inspired me for years. I am currently freelancing 20 hours per week, I’m seeking one more project in 2026 where I can deliver immersive, top-quality level design.

What seemed like a small task quickly turned into a complex mission, but that challenge only pushed me further. The more I learned, the more determined I became to truly understand the tool. Now, after a lot of experimentation and persistence, I can confidently say that I know how to use Fracture Mode to create a wide range of breakables that feel dynamic, intentional, and fun to break.

Happy Holidays to everyone, and looking forward to sharing more soon!
