Hi All, Have not used Twinmotion yet, so far just reading the documentation. I was trying to determine if I could upload my own 2D still image as a backdrop to use with a 3D asset I upload, and then after scaling and positioning the 3d object I want to render that scene as a 2D still image. Is this possible? How would I upload the 2D image? Are there any tools that might be recommended to help match the lighting and color between the backdrop and the 3D object before rendering to make a good composite? Thank You
So I think found the basic answer to this: You can not import a 2d image file directly and use it as a backplate, you need to apply that image file to a 2d plane object (which can be done in another 3D app, or i think maybe in TM as well) then you can import that plane into twin motion.
The questions I still have about this (totally new to Twinmotion) are:
How can I snap that plane parallel to the camera when wanting to use it as a backdrop. I can align it pretty well manually, but there is probably a way to do this automatically? Or I guess can I make my imported plane into a “billboard”?
Is it possible to have this plane in the scene with some other objects positioned in front of it and then some how have the plane not be affected when you adjust things like the affects setings and color?
