Hi, I got Foot Placement and Leg IK nodes in animgraph. I’ve already assigned FK (foot_l, foot_r) and IK bones (VB IK foot r, VB IK foot l, because I have virtual bones instead of IK). The problem is that character’s legs are bended and deformed. Foot placement debug shows that there is a problem with Hyper Extension (the green lines should be finite I think and placed between floor and character’s foots but they seem to point in two deferent directions and are infinite ). Anyone knows how to fix it? When I pin only the Foot Placement node, legs are straighten but sank in the ground. when I add the Leg IK node, legs are bended and deformed… Thx for help
Did you ever figure out a fix for this?
Man, you should check bones orientation, root , legs and foot. I had this with the DAZ character G8. After you review the orientation (shall be similar as on the Epic skeleton), than adjust the root bone of your model. Remember the rotation values you add to your root bone and simply subscribe this from all child bones. There is an option to project on child bones but not working for me. So, this is a boring manual process, but if you want an IK (with foot rotation), you have to do it. Use skeleton editor tool, and yes, if you have any animation already they all will be all distorted.
