Hello! I created a wind swaying tree material and in 4.27 it works on all trees, but in ue5 the material only works correctly if the tree is not being mapped as foliage. What could be the reason?

Hey there @Ilas! Are the foliage actors not reacting correctly all nanite?
I don’t use nanites. As you can see in the video, a separate Mesh works correctly, as it should. But if you add it through “foliage” - a problem
Hrm, it could be due to the absolute world position node as if I remember correctly older instanced meshes worked differently than they do now in which getting any locational data won’t be to the mesh, but to the center of all of the instances. I’m no materials expert however so that might be conjecture. In theory, do the trees near the center (where the pivot is) react more correctly than those near the edge?
