Foliage tool crash after moving assets

After Organizing my assets to folders. The Foliage tool no longer has a link to my vegetation. Also when trying to remove a None node from the Foliage list the engine crashes. When trying to “replace all with the seleded mesh in the CB” it also crashes. So now I’m stuck with empty Foliage nodes in the list of meshes.

Does this occur in a blank project with no additional content? What version of the editor are you currently using?

Reproduction steps 4.3.1:

  1. Create new 3rd party template C++.
  2. Load project from IDE
  3. In the starting project go to the foliage tool and all mesh primitives from the mesh folder
  4. Paint the shapes on to the Example area.
  5. Save as asd.map
  6. Save all.
  7. Open new map.
  8. Delete the primitive meshes from the content browse OR/AND Rename the folder.
  9. Right Click Game folder in the CB.
  10. Select Fix Up Redirectors
  11. After that load asd.umap
  12. Venture to the Foliage tool.
  13. All assests will be None.
  14. Any ineraction that will replace the none or even deleting the instance using the X will crash the editor.

Will update and test. If it works will i be able to repair my project with Fix Redirectors?

Does this occur in 4.4.3?

Works in 4.4.3 But can i even update my project with broken links? I have a map that is missing all of its mesh links too that is not fixing itsself with the redirecting.

I would create a backup then try updating. It may work but just in case you will have the backup available that we can work with to get it in a working state.
