Foliage tool changing my LOD settings on static mesh

Hello there, so i imported a low poly static mesh grass, i also set its LOD level to behave according to my needs and if i drag the mesh directly from content browser to landscape it behaves exactly as it should ( meaning the LOD kicks in at correct spot and replaces the mesh to a more and more optimized version).

Issue starts if i want to paint that mesh as foilage, so i am dragging it from content browser onto foliage tool, choose my parameters and paint. what happens is the now painted as foilage mesh does not behave LOD wise like i have it set, simply stays there on LOD 0 even though i can see some texture resolution loss the fact is that its rendering it at all times… can someone help me with this issue? because im putting assets to a HUGE map and doing it all one by one is defenetly not going to be fun…
