foliage lighting at distance

my foliage has weird lighting at a distance. im guessing it’s some sort of quality/distance setting but i can’t figure it out or how to change it?

when i get closer the effect fades to regular lighting.

im sure this is a common problem but i don’t know what terms to search for?

Is this the Megascans grass? If so, you can remove the last LOD.
