Foliage issues

I have recently started looking into Foliage for UE5-EA and on my system, with a variety of small (505x505 resolution) maps it is very problematic if the foliage is actually displayed or not. I am placing foliage using a single ‘Landscape Grass Type’ with multiple array elements. Essentially I have to close and reopen the map to get the foliage rendered whenever I add or make changes to the Landscape Grass Type elements.

When placing hand-painted foliage there are no problems with viewing them.

When the foliage is rendered another problem is that some of the foliage close to the camera seems to flicker (or change) as to whether the shadow is displayed or not. NB this also affects any hand-painted foliage when the Landscape Grass Type is visible. See captures below, these are flickering when in the editor, playing the level or running a packaged game.

NB Virtual Texture support is disabled and I am not using World Partition for the Landscape (pretty much the defaults).

To add onto this, the screen completely spazzes out if you remove foliage (shift+click), too. It’s amusing at times, but annoying when you aren’t expecting it.
