FNC is at it WORST state. Come and talk to us epic game, please.

Hello everyone, hello epic games. We need to talk seriously.

Since UEFN arrived, FNC (1.0 mode) has been overshadowned by UEFN. You promised us that we will get features of UEFN on FNC, but they never arrived.

Us, the FNC community, are getting tired of seeing how our favourite mode is getting destroyed every update is released just for the fact that we don’t get any new features, just weapons and galleries, oh, and don’t forget, MORE BUGS.

We are getting tired to wait that some day you add thing to FNC and take care of it, so I personally think that we deserve an explanation or at least something of why this is happening

Yoy can tell us the true if you want, even if it hurts, but we want to feel listened at least one time since years.

I want to make a call to all FNC/1.0 creators to upvote this forum and comment #savefortnitecreative, because this is the only way we have to MAYBE make them notice us.

I hope you, epic games, will tell us something, PLEASE, we want explanations.

Thanks for reading.

And Creative games don’t even get featured anymore. Heck, I’m a UEFN user now and I’m noticing this.

And even as a UEFN user you have to make brainrot to even get popular

That’s the problem, they are only looking at the money (brainrot maps) and not to the community itself

Coming at this from a perspective of a long-time Unreal Engine user -

I wonder what would motivate anyone to continue using Creative 1.0…

I see benefits to level design workflows, but the only other benefit I can see is accessibility. (Curious to hear in what ways creating in 1.0 is better)

Accessibility in the sense that someone in Guatemala with a Nintendo Switch can express their creativity and share it with others.

If I met a Creative 1.0 creator IRL - I would ask them what’s preventing them from owning a PC and using UEFN.

Zooming out - Fortnite Creative was added “on top” of Fortnite (In this analogy I imagine UEFN closely attached to the side with tendrils snaking to/from Fortnite and Fortnite Creative).

Not a pretty picture of a foundation. You have to ask if it’s worth it to fix the old foundation, or focus on a new one.

Why should we be forced to buy a PC or change to UEFN? Me and some of my friends like 1.0 because is easy to build (without bearing in mind the bugs). Also, wasn’t the original idea of creative to be a place where everyone can build if they have creativity? Where is that now? I don’t say to add code or custom textures to 1.0, just features like terrain editor but without custom textures etc. A minimun of UEFN features but limited.

There are many people who got into Fortnite through console and started mapping on Creative 1.0. These people have already spend a lot of money on a console and not many of them have the funds to purchase a good PC along with their console, it’s too expensive.

It would be unfortunate for them to get locked out of discover, purely from creating on Creative 1.0, even if they could compete with UEFN.

Even without UEFN tools, I met some creator that theit map seems to be UEFN ones

just features like terrain editor

This seems reasonable (specifically with PS5 controller, I think there was a sculpting system in Dreams ) - But you have to consider the engineering effort required to create and maintain this. Also the terrain system is currently undergoing a big transition: Mesh Terrain

not many of them have the funds

I’m glad you bring up ‘cost of entry’ - I’d judge this by the metric of “Is it possible to use UEFN on a 500$ PC?”

UnrealFest is happening next month, as a ‘console creative’ the question you should be asking is “Will UE6 feature any ‘in client’ development tools?”

As an Unreal Engine user - I hope the answer to that question is ‘No’, I’d rather see development effort put towards improving the Editor.

I can understand your point, but, as a console creator that I am, I would like to see at least limited features of UEFN on 1.0. Some UEFN users that don’t understand the mode could use 1.0 to adapt and then pass to UEFN, so both sides happy.
