Floating foliage on a hill, how to fix? version 5.5 (screenshots)

Anyone can explain how i get this foliage on the hill staying on the ground?.

Hello there @Slimbips! Let’s try to figure this one out.

The first step here is to check the collision of your landscape, please take a look in player collision view, and make sure that no spots are higher than your ground.

You can also try the following: Select landscape > details > Landscape section > Collision Mip Level (right above Collision Thickness). The smaller the number, the more accurate, set the value to 0. Any grass should sit correctly in the ground now.

Alternatively, you can try applying z offsets to all of your foliage or specific foliage, in mass or individually, using the re-apply brush. The settings are below the foliage window, when you select at least one type of foliage.

The collision response is the issue.

You probably have to adjust things manually of LOD0 of the landscape is not accurate to the collision.

Theres been reported issues about this for the past year, so they probably broke the engine collision generation when adding in nanite or something…
