Flame Material Turns Black After Migration, But Only In Window

So, in the original project, the candle flames have no issues, however, when I migrate them into my project, the gallery view of them is fine, but any editor window view shows the flame black.

I may lean into this if I cannot find an answer, however, it would be nice to know why this is happening.

The gallery view is probably just a screenshot ported over from the migration. It doesn’t represent the flame in the current state. Right click it and choose: Asset Actions => Capture Thumbnail. It wil most likely represent the current state of the candle.

The flame and the candle both have bad materials. It’s probably a shader compile error inside of the candle + flame material (perhaps something to do with subsurface scattering).

Try going into these materials and pressing compile and check if an error pops up.

Substrates was not enabled. Not enabling it, though. Luckily, the black flames work with the theme I’m going for.
