Fixed focal lens or Zoom lens ?

Hi,

I need to choose between a fixed focal lens and a zoom lens.
Can a zoom lens give reconstruction results as good as a fixed lens ?
Can a reconstruction be made with pictures made at different zoom level ?

Yes, you can mix fixed and zoom lenses if you keep basic photogrammetry rules applied…
and yes, you can get almost the same results, but keep in mind that fixed lenses are superior to zoom lenses regarding MAXIMAL possible sharpness based on physical limitations.

If I understood correctly, if I use a zoom lens and I change the zoom level while I scan an object I will still get good results ?

Yes, keep good overlap among images and it will be OK, keep in mind that too extensive changes in zoom level result in alignment issues…
