Sometimes after importing a Heightmap and resizing your landscape in UE4 (UE4.22), sculpting tools sometimes may not work as expected. I read in some forums and discussions in Answehub that there’s a max limit for sculpting, But in my case it didn’t cause any problem though. Anyway if you come across such issues try:
- Uncheck the “Use Clay Brush” in sculpting menu [Clay brush averages the area somewhat like smooth tool, In my case it was causing problem]
- If the heights are still low/high you can always use z scaling.
- Don’t forget to Shift+Click and Drag Mouse for Sculpting Down while Clay Brush is Unchecked [If you don’t drag while Shift+Click it will just Sculpt Upward]
