Fix for "The MetaHuman Creator plugin requires that the MetaHuman Creator Core Data be installed"

I recently encountered the following error message while trying to use the MetaHuman plugin:

“The MetaHuman Creator plugin requires that the MetaHuman Creator Core Data be installed alongside the Engine. Its functionality will be significantly limited without it.”

I managed to solve this issue, and I wanted to share the solution for anyone else facing the same problem. Here are the steps:

  1. Open the Epic Games Launcher.

  2. Go to the Library tab.

  3. Find your installed Unreal Engine version.

  4. Click on Options (usually found in the dropdown menu or next to the Launch button).

  5. In the installation options list, check the box for “MetaHuman Creator Core Data”.

  6. Click Apply to download and install the missing data.

  7. Restart Unreal Engine.

After doing this, the error was gone and the plugin worked correctly. Hope this helps!
