First Person Camera Device Completely Broken

Summary

First Person Camera Device Broken is completely broken, I’ve heard a lot of reports since the new update. This makes any FPS Game (Most horror maps) unplayable visually.

Steps to Reproduce

Place down an FPS Camera and assign to player with the user having no pickaxe, only a hand.

Expected Result

Shows the players POV through the FPS Camera

Observed Result

Doesn’t work or it shows the players body awkwardly

Same issue with the fixed point camera device , doesn’t move at all in any level sequence..

For more clarity, this issue is a direct result from playing a cinematic sequence which uses a camera.

it happens after you play a cinematic that uses a cinematic camera, which might be some important context not mentioned here

I wish it to be fixed but this would be a cool option for players to enable if there using custom heads :slight_smile:

This happens as well to me after a cinematic sequence with a cinematic camera!! Ruined my whole maps main perspective. Please fix ASAP was planning on publishing tomorrow and cant due to this

If i publish an unlisted version of my map and the bug gets fixed will I need to update the map or will I be able to just list it without touching it?

Technically yeah, you should be safe since the client used by players will be updated and hopefully fixed :folded_hands:

Not sure if it’s directly related to the first person camera device being broken but canted aim is broken as well. There’s also no option to toggle the default third person camera ADS.

Hey all, thanks for raising this. We’ve been reproing it all day and will get a fix in for the next patch. :black_heart:

I noticed an issue when I crouch ( own body blocking view )

Also I noticed normal player camera collision has changed. Would be nice to revert. It is especially bad when in turrets.

Anyone found hotfix for this?

I made a workaround: disable the first person right before the cinematics and enable it again when it ends. Obviously, keep in mind whether it’s for everyone or per instigator.
