I’m not sure if it is possible in UE4, but I wonder if you can create an AI object that surveys its surrounds by firing a million rays with Multi Trace and making a decision based on an algorithm that processes the rays. Would that cause a performance issue? Would it take to long to compute that number or rays?
Need more information to answer that question. How often do you need these rays to be firing? Why do you need a million rays? Maybe there’s a more efficient way to do what you are trying to do? Ill tell you right now, a million rays per tick will kill your computer, and a million rays per second wont be much better.
