To shoot a projectile at a specific time of a fire weapon animation, is the best way to do this with animation notifies?
In my experience, yes spawning a projectile at a specific time of a weapon animation is best done with an animation notify. Here is an example from a recent technical test that I had to perform where I use an Anim Notify to spawn a weapon projectile:
You could also create a new Blueprint of class Anim Notify and add the logic to spawn the projectile from there by overriding the Received Notify function.
