A teaser for my game “Fire, burn”, a 3D roguelite with physics-based magic and fire spells. The goal is to create a new kind of gameplay with a strong sense of progression and customization.
→ “Endless progression”: Players can upgrade and modify spells in almost infinite ways.
→ "Physical magic”: Many spells interact with enemies on a physical level such as throwing, attracting and levitating.
→ "Endless customization”: The focus is not just on making the character more powerful, but also on personalization and customization. It will not be possible to learn every single skill and spell. Choices matter.
→ "Endless hordes”: The game features numerous areas, enemies, and hordes, with the ability to level up and collect loot as rewards.
Please note that this is pre-alpha footage and many features have not been implemented yet. There is currently only a limited amount of content. Unreal users may recognize some of the free assets being used.
Greetings, @Blade-90; I hope you’re doing well, and Happy Holidays! Thank you for sharing the first teaser to your W.I.P. “Fire, Burn” with us here in the forums. I’m quickly a fan of your physical magic system; I can’t wait to see more gameplay of what more you can do with it.
Hope you’re doing well and having a great week so far!
This project seems like it would be so charming and filled with old-school game character. The skill tree customization alone would have hours and hours of replayability. Do you have plans to have a dungeon-crawler map as well?
@PresumptivePanda: Right now the plan is to implement the important gameplay features. I don’t know yet how far this project goes. My resources are quite limited, but if possible I’d like to include different kind of maps.
