Find Look At Rotation Easing (Math Question?)

When using “find look at rotation” for an enemy to look at the player, I’d like for them to ease into it, rather than just 1-to-1 always face the player directly.

I thought I could maybe find the appropriate look at rotation, then find the enemy’s current rotation, add them together and divide by two, so it would constantly move half of the appropriate rotation distance, but it has weird side effects like flipping around crazy between 0 and 360.

Is there a better way to approach this issue? Thanks!

I think your current approach is just setting the enemy’s rotation to the result of the Find Look at Rotation node. To reach your goal, instead of directly using that value, you can plug it into the Target pin of a Rinterp To node, plug the enemy’s current rotation into the Current pin, and use that result to set the rotation.

Hope this helps! :innocent:

@VisAgilis - ah, nice! I hadn’t used that node before. Thanks a lot!
