FINALLY got mesh to rotate towards velocity, but one final bug holding BP back

I have been attempting to get my mesh to rotate in the direction of the actor’s velocity for three days now and I’m finally near the end of the issue. However, the only bug remaining with this feature is that when facing directly south the mesh snaps around due to the world rotation value being 0.

I’m so close to being done and I told myself I wouldn’t sleep until it was but it’s 2am and I just can’t crack this. If anyone knows how to get my pitch to adapt to my velocity then I will be extremely grateful.

i think there is a checkbox that Does this for you, at least in Charactermovement component on character pawn classes.
