Hi all,
Since last update I can’t access to some filtering tool options, I only can use filtering tools inside or outside a box, but can’t see the Minimal component size option. Is it removed??
Hi Alberto Moreno
Yes it was removed but on request of many users it will be added back.
Do you have a timeline for the reintroduction of this feature? I am waiting for that to renew my subscription, as I find the tool unusable without it.
Any updates on this?
Thanks,
Jordi
Any updates? We are unable to try out the latest release announced, as it’s not featured on the MY downloads page, nor does the software update automatically (or using the manual button under settings).
It is there. They usually update the demo version first and the pay version sometime later.

Thanks, don’t quite understand why it is announced if still unavailable though.
Back to the filtering issue, can anyone from CapturingReality reply to my question?
Jordi, ShadowTail just answered your question, what more do you want to know?
It seems to common practice as stated for a different topic here:
When we look at the model

My original question was this:

I was referring to the filtering options that were removed (without warning) from the software in the latest release. I built my entire workflow around a specific output, that is one that does not feature floating geometry. With this change, I now have to introduce another manual step or modify my scripts, because the models processed are never clean of floating geometry.
Ah, sorry, your focus was on the timeline.
In my experience the guys from RC are rather unspecific in that respect (which is not unusual).
I can understand your frustration…
Dear Users,
We are very sorry that the tool has been removed. It was not working properly on multi-part models. We had to remove it as we are working on some principal changes to the filtering pipeline which will allow us to make the tool multi-part and much more. We agree that it was a mistake to remove it from the public release. Please accept our apologies. We created internal rules to prevent such situation to happen again. Please be sure that the tool will be back together with another features as soon as possible. We hope that you will love it. Thank you for your understanding.
Pleased to have been prooven wrong!
